Simplified Organization: A New Self-Paced Course

Learn to love what must be done

Remember when I was talking about August being a great time for resolutions and doing new things? In the beginning of the month, I was looking at getting fit and making habits which include fitness in my crazy life. There is an entire series looking at other women and mothers make fitness work for them.

Well, now it is nearing the end of the month, as well as the end of our homeschool summer term, and guess what? I’m still yearning for some change. I’m about to go crazy and clean out the kids’ closets, my closet, hopefully clean up the office, declutter the kitchen…you know, organize.

Yes, that word. It sends shivers of dread through all of us who aren’t naturally orderly, and who would rather shove the mess elsewhere and go read a book or go for a hike instead. My desk is covered in papers, cameras, pens, and a notebook that is supposed to help me keep track of passwords. The rest of the office has bags for donating to the local Catholic Charities, cloth diapers for selling, blocks for the baby to play with, and my husband’s computers and his own piles of stuff.

I may not be a very organized person, but I’m much more at peace when there is order to the chaos that is my life, and when I’m not spending a gazillion hours ignoring what must be done, then dragging my feet through cleaning up and decluttering and putting everything back in its place.

Now that our summer school session is over, it’s that time that I start to crave a reset, a fresh start, a chance to get my ish all organized. Again.

And so I am thrilled that Mystie has a brand new e-course: Simplified Organization. It is designed to help you, me and any harried homemaker find some peace, in manageable chunks. There are 6 different modules: Decide, Declutter, Define, Design, Do Develop.

What I love: It is self-paced. Do it on your time, your own schedule. No need to fit a course about organization into an already crazy busy life on someone else’s schedule. Do it on YOUR schedule. There are audio talks, printable helps, practical and easy tools, even live Q&A chats planned. I’ve long been a fan of Mystie’s, and her encouraging, inspiring words on homemaking and homeschooling. I’ve found myself reading her posts and working on changes in my mind and heart, which help me see the way I work in my home differently–more positively. I simply can’t wait to put all these new tools and ideas to work, and join in on the live chats for even more encouragement.

Ok, ok, sounds cool. What’s the cost?

Well, I’ll tell ya. Don’t run away as soon as I do.

It is $99, regular price. Remember what you get: 6 modules, live Q&A sessions, life-time access, self-paced, printable worksheets, practical and encouraging action steps, a chance to change your heart and view the way you organize and create a beautiful and peaceful home for your family. Less crazy=less stress, in my opinion.

I also think of it this way: When I am organized, I know where my things are, how much food in the fridge, what needs replacing. When I am not organized, I waste time looking for things, waste money buying what I already have but can’t find, waste food because I forget where it is or don’t plan well enough to use it…So in the long run, spending some money to help my life stay organized is likely going to SAVE money. WIN.

BUT YEA FOR YOU! There is a sale until September 2. Save some money. Use code backtoschool for 30% off until September 2. Go check it out, look at the samples, and see if this will be as helpful to you as I know it will be for me. (You guessed it: this is an affiliate post. As always, I only promote what I already love and want to share with you all. Thanks for checking it out. Anything I earn through my blogging and affiliates goes right back to people I love, like my friend raising money for a diabetic alert dog for her son.)

*updated note for my readers: Mystie sometimes refers to the Heidelberg Catechism, which is Protestant. This is going to only matter to my fellow Catholic readers, who might find slight discrepancies in our teachings. I still highly recommend this course, because the Scripture verses Mystie uses to encourage are lovely, and the call to keep an orderly home is part of our vocation as wives and mothers, regardless of our specific creed. I am already feeling inspired to see my daily tasks in a new light.*

Get organized. Stay organized.

  1. Ooh! I’m interested in checking this out. My husband and I just sat down one evening a few nights ago and he listened politely (!) while I mapped out a new strategy for organization in our home and family. It feels like summer really did a number on order in the home and I can’t believe “school” is starting in a week! We’re using the next ten days or so to try to establish some new routines for ourselves and the kids to get the house in order and hopefully maximize our lessons time.
Also – totally switching topics… I was JUST saying to my mom last night that I sometimes dream about having one of the dogs that can detect low blood sugars for my son, Aaron b/c we recently switched the big boys to a basement bedroom and he’s so far away from us during the crucial night hours. Either that, or he needs a continuous glucose monitor that sends readings into the cloud for Russ and I to check through the night from our own room. Insurance doesn’t seem to agree with me 🙂 Anyway… b/c this is a topic near to my heart, if I decide to use the Simplified Organization system, I’m so happy to know that it will benefit your friend and her son!!

    1. I can’t even imagine the fear and worry that you and other parents must have when your child needs extra attention to things like that!
If you do go with the e-course, let me know! We can chat and keep each other accountable. 😉

  2. This is great, Gina. I definitely will be looking into this. Organization and planning is definitely not in my nature/temperament but I’ve been praying for more grace in the area so I can bring beautiful order to our new home. Thank you for sharing!

    1. You’re welcome! I think I am going to share a post after each of the sections I complete, too. It will help hold me accountable to myself. 😉
