A Great Idea for Advent

| |
Autumn days–busy though mine are, with soccer practices and ballet lessons and religious Ed meetings–beg for me to pursue stillness, and push me to look forward to Advent. The cooler days, the shorter daylight hours, and the crunchy falling leaves signal to my soul that change in nature is a perfect time for change in my soul, as well.

And so I think very little about Halloween costumes (although that is also fun), and look ahead towards the season of hope and expectation.

Do you also feel the stirrings in your soul? Do you prepare for shorter days and chillier nights? What brings life to you when the world rests in winter slumber?

Color me purple and call me an Advent baby (my birthday falls during Advent), but I definitely do feel the Spirit nudging me at this time of year. The year is naturally winding down, and I love to think about cuddling up with a blanket and a book, or a movie. As for my deeper self, as the year winds down, I love to carve out some time for my soul and to fill my heart and mind with the stories of hope and renewal. Thank goodness for the liturgical year, yes?

Well, my friends. If you are like me in more ways than one, you’ll want to prepare for Advent, but you don’t have time. Or you hate trying to find the perfect thing and don’t know where to search.

Search no more. Blessed Is She delivers again with the beautiful pack for Advent. Isn’t it incredible to look at?? I cannot get over the talent and love poured into this. This year, they’re offering a bundle, or individual pieces. The Jesse Tree cards are the same as last year’s (and they are so good) and the journal is written by Elizabeth Foss.

Is it silly that I cannot wait to get to Advent? Pray along with me and all of Blessed Is She this Advent. The pack and individual items are available now for pre-order!
