Embrace the Ordinary 2016 vol. 3
“Click, Clack, Moo” was the last book I finished reading. I haven’t finished re-reading “A Mother’s Rule of Life” or any other of my summer reads. My blog-reading days are nearly extinct, due to busyness with homeschool and toddlers. But yesterday, I gave myself some time to read this post and it inspired me to work on focusing on simplicity, and what matters most in my life as a wife and mother. Ha! I’m a wife and a mother of 6 kids, homeschooling, and trying to help them navigate all the things of life.
Simplicity isn’t my reality.
Still, I’m diving back in to some soul-searching and trying to get back to those things that give life and joy to me and our family.
Photos started my blogging journey, and sharing stories based on the photos. I’m going back to that.

King Arthur Flour has a pretty fun challenge going on, a Bake-Along Challenge. Each month they post a new recipe, and invite readers to bake along. Heck yes, we are doing this. It’s no secret that one of my favorite parts of homeschooling is being able to spend time with my kids in the kitchen, giving them skills and an appreciation for cooking and baking and learning independence. Sous Chef was more than happy to bake an Italian bread with me for the first challenge. We can’t wait to see what the October challenge recipe is!
“Today was delightful” – what a great picture and accompanying thought!
“Mother said there’d be days like that…” To quote the Shirelles!
Truth! 😉
OoOOO! I spy embrace the ordinary! That makes me so happy! 😀 I miss this link-up! And that photo! Perfect!
🙂 Join in? I probably won’t do the linky, but I’d love to have you post along.
