Introducing, Again

Once upon a time, my husband built a sweet little table to hold a computer for our girls, so they could play learning games in a little nook all their own. Then we moved from that home, and didn’t have a sweet little nook anymore. We set up the little table in our family room instead, and it became our prayer space.

I filled the space with flowers, statues, and a family heirloom crucifix on the wall. The sturdy little table became the foundation of our sacred space, the humble wooden frame (lovingly and well-built by my husband’s hands) holding the candles and rosaries and books that were added to the statues.

I added cloths to drape on the table, for a soft, cozy, touch. I began to sew cloths for the seasons, to mirror the liturgical changes we see at Mass.

Soon an idea took root in my heart, to create prayer table sets and sell them. The idea wouldn’t leave me alone, so after a few trials, I opened up a small shop on Etsy last year with prayer table sets and individual prints. The prints, with quotes from Scripture and the saints, have been easy and inspiring touches to home prayer spaces and home galleries.

In the past year, I’ve added the Family Litany of Saints (which has also been a great gift for Confirmation, for a sweet baby girl who had heart surgery, and one friend even created a classroom patron saint litany!), and done several custom quotes. It’s been fun and so rewarding to create these lovely pieces for everyone who has ordered.

What’s next? Exciting things! First of all, I’m changing names of the Etsy shop to Someday Saints Designs. In the next week or so, I’ll also have a shop up and running here on my blog! It will have some of the same items as Etsy, but more! Think mugs, pillow cases, and t-shirts. I’m very excited to show you, and here’s a sneak peek.

I know I also keep promising blog content, and that’s coming. This summer, I’ve been taking advantage of beach and pool days, we’re potty training, and working on some long-standing kid-health things. It’s been fun and overwhelming some days. Next week, my kiddos start a new homeschool charter program, and they’ll be at school 2 days a week! So, count on more regular content starting next week.

I have posts about meal planning (hahaha) drafted, posts about prayer and free will, and also about maintaining a personal prayer life when there’s little to no time for me to sit in silence and rest in God’s arms. (There’s a printable for that.) What else would you like to read? Let me know! I’m so thrilled to be starting another year with my shop, and with more intentional blogging. Thanks for being here, friends.
