Oh Hey, I'm Back with a Recap

A “looking back” post seems as good as any to be my first post in months. Sometimes a look back is all I need to motivate me into starting up again. Please comment at the end and tell me what you would like to read more of…Should I bring “Embrace the Ordinary” back? Share more family recipes? Prayers? Ramblings? I’d love to know. If you don’t tell me, I’ll keep on rambling and see where it leads me.

Here’s a recap of 2015 on the Someday Saints blog, in no real order except that the most-viewed and commented on post will be last. Suspense is exciting.

In July I shared progress on the quilt I made for Small Fry. Finishing it (in time!) meant that I completed 2 quilts in 2015, and met one of the goals I’d set for myself. (Most of my other goals disappeared when we found out we were expecting Small Fry…hard to run a 5K when pregnant in the heat of the summer).

One of my posts from 2014, about taking kids to Mass, had quite a few hits this past year. It’s still good for me to look back and remember the crazy days (oh wait, we still have them), and remind myself that it *is* worth the efforts to take my children to Mass.

Over the summer, I participated in a blog project with Kristen Foss, the Summer of Psalms. She designed a beautiful printable for one of my favorite Psalms, one I pray with every.single.day. for my family.

I shared five of my favorite things to do in the morning. The list is still true!

At one point, I attempted to start a photo/blog project call “Project Everyday Motherhood“, to show beauty in the mundane. I think I’ll revisit this project in 2016.

I shared a list of ten things I think we should tell our daughters, any time.

And…the big post of the year?

That was the one when I shared the surprise and shock of our sixth pregnancy. It was emotional and honest.

I’m so grateful to all of you who read, who comment, who have become friends because of this blog! It’s true, too, I now have real-life friends because of my blog. Come back tomorrow for a post about prayer and social media. I hope you’ll like it!
