Quilting for Kenya

|

So. I have a quilt in progress, which I was going to finish for our family before Thanksgiving. I posted a pic on Instagram of (just one angle) of the craft room, and the space I need to make sense of and organize before I can really tackle that quilt again.

Since then, I found out about a craft project to help kids in Kenya. Craft Hope has always had great project ideas for crafters to send some love to those in need. They need 25 quilts for this current project. Right away I knew that this quilt I’m working on will go to Kenya. Now I have an earlier deadline, but I am so excited to finish sewing this and send it off. If I can’t do good with what I have, then what good is what I have? My family has plenty of blankets…and while this quilt would have been snuggly and fun and cozy for us all to pile under, it will be so much more loved by a child in Kenya.

There are other needs for this project, also, so if you are feeling a tug at your heart, go check it out and see what you might craft and send along to the kids. If you do, please let me know what you craft! I’ll post back with updates on the quilt.
