She Who Believed

| | |

Time and again, the Word moves in hearts and lives change. Scripture tells story after story about believers, who, because they believed, found healing and renewal.

This Lent, get to know women who believed and found love, hope, and new life. “She Who Believed” is the title of the new Blessed is She study. It contains stories of women who have gone before us, and who teach us about prayer. The study explores 4 different kinds of prayer – adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and petition – through women from the Old & New Testament, two from each Testament each week. Designed to be a stress-free invitation into the spiritual practices of Lent, each week has 2 built-in “pauses” for you to catch up if you missed a reflection or want to revisit and dig deeper.

From the website:

Women in Scripture are our real-life models of prayer, our sisters of faith. This Lent we are going to dive into the stories of women in Scripture to learn what they teach us about prayer. We’ll spend time with well-known favorites and lesser-known figures. We’ll look at common types of prayer—adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and petition—and learn how real women wrestled with God about the deepest longings of their heart.

I’m excited for Lent. Each year, I dig into the Word (thanks to these studies!) and leave a little of myself behind to become more like Christ. To walk the journey with women of the Bible this year sounds so inviting and reassuring, with companions who know the way.

Get your copy here! (affiliate link, thank you, as always, for supporting me when you purchase through my blog). Each year the journals sell out, and before you know it, Lent will be upon us on February 14th, Ash Wednesday this year! While it’s a bit of a drag that Lent comes so soon…that also means that Easter will be sooner! Joy! 😉
