Treat Yourself to an Organized School Year {giveaway, too!}

Ok moms (and ladies who aren’t yet moms, if you’re reading this). The “new year” of the school year is approaching, and do you know yet what you’re going to use to help keep schedules organized? I’ll help you out. You can stop researching all the life planners right now, and check out the Catholic liturgical academic year planner from Blessed is She. (photos by Susana Starbuck)

If you’ve seen the images already, but haven’t seen it in person, know that it’s been wow-ing women as they receive their planners. It’s so pretty with the rose pink and gold foil on the cover.

The monthly layouts are like the previous planner, but better. I love how the holy days of obligation are highlighted, and I still love the monthly saint and prayer. And did you notice the days are marked with that colored bar to show what kind of liturgical day they are? This is a liturgical girl’s dream.

Every week has a spread like this, with gorgeous script verses, a to-do list, grocery list, meal planning, notes, goals, prayer intentions, and follow-up box. What more do you need except for someone else to make those calls and emails for you? (and grocery shop, am I right?) Turn the pages again and you’re looking at the weekly/daily/hourly spread.

It’s incredible.

Guess what? I’m giving one away. If you don’t want to take your chances, go here to buy one.

  14. I am looking forward to read alouds the most. I also like discussing history and science. Not the book work as much, the discussions that come about after reading the books.

  15. I like to hear about what books you are reading with and without kids. Recipes and homemaking with a large family.

    1. Great post ideas! I usually just double recipes, but I’ll work on some posts with my favorites!

He’s already learned so much just by playing in the room while I taught his siblings, so I can’t wait to see how well he does when we officially begin! I’m also kind of excited (and scared) to see how I’m going to manage homeschooling 4 kids with a newborn in the house! ?

    1. Whew, I know that feeling well. My best tip would be to take your time and allow yourself lots of grace. Patience and read-alouds go a long way to making a year pretty decent even with a newborn. 😉

  23. I love blog posts with your reviews (and giveaways!), favorite big family recipes, and anything about your homeschooling journey!

  24. Gina, this is so generous! I can’t swing purchasing one right now but excited about the chance to win! I always enjoy when you write about motherhood and your journey, whether it be family related or homeschool or day to day! Hugs!

  26. I love hearing about your everyday moments with kids. Another favorite is hearing what others are reading.

  27. I’m new here so I’m not sure what content I would like to see. I look forward to exploring your blog to see what is here. As far as the school year, this is our 12th year with 12 more to go. Our plan is to add more of the liturgical year celebrations into our school days so you can imagine how excited I was to see the highlighted liturgical seasons/saints/holy days/prayers in the planner! Very cool!

    1. Wow! You must have a lots of wisdom. 😉 Working liturgical days into the school day is a work-in-progress for me!

  28. I’m looking forward to another month and a half of summer…. seeing as how we just finished in the second/third week of June… but when we go back after Labor Day, I’m looking forward to my 1st grader making the final push into reading. Always my happiest moment when I’ve taught my kids how to read and to open a whole new world for them.

    1. Ah, yes. I’m holding on to the summer days as well. Mine will start back in just over a month. Reading is such a great part of learning together. I love that!

  29. That planner is gorgeous and really does have it all! I’m most looking forward to my oldest to be in kindergarten and my 3 year old to attend a few days of preschool at our parish school. Excited to hear their ‘stories’ when they come home and see what they’ve learned and I’m also excited to spend some one on one time with my almost 2 year old daughter…even if it’s only for a few hrs a couple days a week. 🙂

  30. I’m looking forward to going back to school and makin Christ the Heartbeat of my work, and not just my prayers. St. Josemaria Escriva, pray for us! ❤️

  34. Okay, so the two questions: I’m looking forward to my girly starting pre-K. She’s so excited! And, I’m new to your site, so I can’t say what I’d like to see more of, except that I’m excited to READ more of what you have up already!!!
